The Position:

To support in all aspects of the; food production for The Bulls Head Pub and food production for events and delivering the events across Wild by Nature and off site. 

About the role 

The role is open to both experienced chefs and those willing and eager to learn with training being available for those with the right attitude. You will be a good team player who is driven in delivering the very best food and guest experience within the pub, wedding venue and the wider Wild by Nature business. Working with the best home-grown and the finest British produce. This role is predominately for a seasonal position covering April through to October but may be considered for a permanent contract

Hospitality experiences

  • Weddings and Bespoke Events at Lower House Farm  

  • Old Great Marlborough events 

  • Private off site bespoke events

  • Traditional pub and Private dining room

  • Cabins for overnight stays

  • Pub Garden and Fire feasts, outdoor dinning

Remuneration and benefits. 

  • Full and part time work available

This position will support the back of house team infrastructure across all of our locations and require you to have access to flexible and reliable transport (Our pub and Wedding Venue are a short 12 min drive between locations in Longtown and Craswall)

Some of the key job responsibilities that our chefs will have are:

  • Support the Head chef and teams in all aspects of the day to day running of the kitchen and to deliver the food menus

  • Work fluidly between all areas of the Wild by Nature Venues, depending on where you are required on the day.

  • Ensure exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation are maintained throughout and that service is maintained to a high standard

  • Manage your appointed section, ensuring the food and ingredients are at their best.

  • Ensure recipes are followed.

  • Complete opening and closing duties, including health and safety procedures, to ensure compliance and quality assurance of standards are maintained.

Bar Manager at Wild by Nature

The Position:

To manage all aspects of the; pub drinks menu/s, event bar menu/s and delivering this across Wild by Nature and off site.

About the role 

The role is for a hands-on Bar Manager who can motivate and inspire the team to deliver the very best food and drink guest experiences within the pub, cabins and with the wider Wild By Nature Teams. Working with the best home-grown and the finest British produce, amazing beers, spirits and wines. You will be a problem solver and comfortable working in a close-knit team of like-minded individuals.  Someone who is aspirational to achieve the very best.

  • Working across 5 days with statutory leave entitlement

This position will support and manage the FOH/Bar team infrastructure across all of our locations and require you to have access to flexible and reliable transport (Our pub and Wedding Venue are a short 12 min drive between locations in Longtown and Craswall)

Some of the key job responsibilities that our bar manager will have are:

  • Welcoming customers in a warm and friendly manner, creating a memorable experience for them

  • Working alongside the Restaurant team to manage reservations and bookings

  • Ability to also be flexible and work in the restaurant area taking orders and running food when necessary

  • Confidently be able to multitask and delegate with jobs associated with the bar ie making drinks for bar customers, welcoming guests that have booked a table in our restaurant, taking phone bookings, fulfilling restaurant drink orders, making coffees and keeping on top of cleaning glassware and polishing throughout the shift

  • Ensure exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation are maintained throughout and that service is maintained to a high standard

  • Ensure effective stock management, holding and ordering. Restock and replenish bar stocks and supplies where necessary

  • Complete opening and closing duties, including health and safety procedures, to ensure compliance and quality assurance of standards are maintained.

Kitchen Porter

Bulls Head Pub, Craswall

The Position:

To maintain all aspects of the cleaning in the kitchen, bar and all back of house areas and cabins at the Bulls Head. Supporting the wider business when required.

Seasonal Front of House and Bar Staff

The Bulls Head, Craswall + Lower House Farm Wedding Venue, Longtown

Expected start date: April/May 2025

We are looking for additional front of house and bar staff to help us complete our wedding season here at Wild by Nature. This is a great opportunity working for our award winning food and farming business which include;

  • Working in our beautiful rural pub, The Bulls Head in Craswall

  • Working Weddings and events on our regenerative farm in Longtown

We are a fun, dynamic and growing business with a commitment to developing careers and offering exciting work in a very supportive environment.

We are looking for staff available to work regular shifts on the bar and restaurant in our Pub and also looking to build up our core wedding events team which will be a mix of food service and bar service too (based at our Farm in Longtown). This will be regular weekend work throughout our wedding season from May until the end of October. There may be ongoing shifts available in the pub continuing through until Christmas eve.

No formal qualifications are needed for this role and all training will be given but the following skills and experience are required:

  • Positive attitude towards work

  • Good timekeeping skills

  • Good personal presentation and hygiene

  • Ability to follow instruction and work as part of a team

  • Ability to travel to our rural location

Housekeeping Team Member

Lower House Farm, Longtown + Bulls Head Pub, Craswall + Old Great Marlborough House

The Position:

This position will support the housekeeping team across all of our locations with a mixture of cleaning our pub, onsite cabins, wedding venue spaces and our large accommodation house sleeping 22. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a bit of variety in their job role and also willing to get stuck in.  

About the role 

The roles we are offering are part time, minimum 20 hours per week but open to flexibility for the right person. We have a 7 day a week operation between our accommodation, pub and event barn so these hours will be spread across the week.

We are a business with very high-standards - both in cleanliness and customer service. We have a lovely housekeeping team, who go beyond keeping our venues and accommodation immaculate and ensure that guests arrive into a warm, friendly environment with everything presented to its best and guests’ needs at the heart of the service provided. Positivity, friendliness and good team-working skills are a must. 

Job role will include:

Full house changeover cleans with a team of people

Cabin changeovers and mid stay cleans, where you will meet the guests and make sure they have everything they need. 

Wedding Venue barn cleaning

Your work will be carried out at the following locations

Old Great Marlborough House in Grosmont NP7 8HL - (our main accommodation)

Lower House Farm in Longtown HR2 0NT - (Our wedding Venue)

The Bull’s Head in Craswall HR2 0PN - (our pub with newly opened cabins on site)

You must be able to drive between these sites in your own vehicle (expenses will be paid for in-work travel).

Rates of pay will be dependant on experience, and responsibilities.

Experience is not essential as long as you have a passion for hospitality, a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn!
